Wimma Jean Owen, 57, of Lexington, the loving wife of Ronnie Owen, died Sunday, November 8, 2009. She was born on March 29, 1952, in Pike County, KY, to the late Zulema and James Osborne. Wimma was a member of Southland Christian Church and a retired registered nurse for the Fayette County Health Department.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Mary Suzanne Owen, Lexington; son, James Ronald Owen II, Lexington; brother, Michael Wayne Osborne, NC; and 4 grandchildren, Anna Marie Owen, James Ronald Owen III, Harmony Shea Owen and Samantha Colleen Metzger.

Funeral Information

A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, November 11, 5-8 pm at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing. A private burial will take place Thursday.
