Obituary for "Allen" Homer E. Allen

Frankfort – (Allen) Homer E. Allen, 79, has left this earth to tend God’s Beautiful Garden on Saturday, September 1, 2018. Homer was an artist, teacher, gardener, but most of all a wonderful life partner to Mike and papa to his fur babies, Faith and Hope.
He loved to travel and did so often, but was always eager and happy to get back home to his flowers, house, and fur babies. Out of high school, Homer went into the Air Force (Strategic Air Command) and after serving his term, he went right into college where he earned his master plus two years. He started in the art department (Visual Arts) at Kentucky State University in Frankfort where he taught till his retirement after 45 years.
Homer was always happy. His smile could light up a room. He was always there if you needed anything. He will be missed by his friends, neighbors, but most of all by his life partner, Mike and his fur babies, Faith and Hope.
He wanted to enjoy his flowers while he was here on this earth so if you see fit to send flowers or please make a contribution to “A New Leash on Life” or Josephine Sculptor Park because he loved all animals an beautiful works of art.
Gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00pm until 5:00pm on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
