Obituary for Charles William Potter

LEXINGTON- Charles William Potter, 94, died Friday, June 7, 2019. He was born September 19, 1924 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky to the late William and Pairilee Yates Potter. He was a WWII Veteran and a member of Gardenside Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Ann (Robert) Jones and Rosie Mae Potter; son, Daniel Lee (Jacqueline) Potter, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Rosa Groot, James R. (Annie) Potter, Elizabeth (Alfred) Jennings. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Verna Mae (Moore) Potter, one son, Thomas Rogers Potter and one sister, Dorothy (Bill) Smither.
Visitation will be Monday, June 10, 2019 from 5-8 PM at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing. Funeral service will be 11 AM Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at the funeral home with Pastor Derek Coleman officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff Stringer, John Ward, Lewis Rigsby, Dick York, Carl Sword and Mark Giurgevich. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
