Obituary of Mark Kent Brewer

Mark Kent Brewer, 65, husband of Brenda Brewer, passed away on May 2, 2024 in Lexington, shortly after visiting with his son, Jason.  Mark was born in Frankfort, KY on December 12, 1958 to Julian Ray Brewer and Patsy Brewer.  Mark worked as a Kentucky State Police Facilities Security officer for 28 years. He was a beloved member of Open Bible Church for many years, serving on their worship team playing guitar. In addition to being a talented musician, Mark loved reading and watching films whenever he could and had a vast literary collection. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. 

In addition to his wife, Brenda, Mark is survived by his parents, Ray and Patsy Brewer; his children, Jason (Ginger) Brewer, Tracy Heightchew, Aaron (Katie) Brewer, and Emily (Nick) Adams; his sisters, Jeannine Brewer and Judy (Sam) Brough; grandchildren, Canon Adams, Lincoln Adams, and Noah (Lauren) Alvarez and their baby girl Sofia Alvarez.  

A celebration of life service will be held for Mark Brewer on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 1pm at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort. A gathering of family and friends will immediately follow until 4pm at the funeral home.
